Good, Bad & Yummy 6/28-6/30 & June Favs

Business as usual here in my life: going a million miles an hour. This week is going to be super busy but it will be a good one for sure with lots of positive things happening.

Going to do a little mix here and some usual Good, Bad, and Yummy moments from the weekend as well as some highlights from the month of June (seriously, did this past month fly as fast for everyone else as it did for me?)

As for the weekend....
The Good:
John's sister had her baby Thursday night, adorable little Charlie John! Yay for another nephew!

Saturday I got my longest ride to date in...61 miles, I was really happy with it especially considering the elements were not in my favor for most of it!

I'm feeling really comfortable clipping in now, and am starting to utilize the power of it more (when clipped in you get power on the upstroke as well, which can make you more efficient of a rider). I do have to remind myself not to pull up too hard though, it can create lower back pain and tightness in the hip.

I managed to take off my shoes while still riding (thank goodness for fabulous Bontrager Triathlon Cycling Shoes). If I can practice this more, it will make me more efficient in T2 on race day, and get my running shoes on me quicker. BUT I won't do it race day unless I feel 100% ready (it could turn bad quickly).

Dress rehearsal run yesterday went great! I wore my +Saucony Triathlon top and shorts, as well as my Kinvara's (these are the only things that might NOT be with me on race day, I ordered Saucony Flats, but they are not in yet). I even started the run after 11 AM in the heat of the day because that is when I will be running on race day, gotta practice these things!

I was so hot after said long run in the heat, that I didn't even have to be forced into the ice bath. I jumped in without even thinking, and remained there for 25 minutes! My legs feel great today!

Got to spend a little time with John, his sister and her man and the baby last night:)

The Bad:
It was torrential downpour the first half of my long ride Saturday, but in all honesty it really wasn't all bad because it was good prep in case it rains on race day.

The new baby had some respiratory issues over the weekend and had to stay a few extra days giving us a worry(but all is good now, as I said they left hospital yesterday happy and healthy).

Friday night I was worked up about doing my long ride on Saturday. I was tired and cranky and letting the anxiousness of upcoming 70.3 get to me. A good long chat with my man definitely made me feel better.

My Garmin is definitely fading, and quickly. Battery power is lasting less and less and the strap (which partially broke last weekend) is getting even more worn now that it has added strain on one side. I really need to decide what I want to do. Looking at the Garmin 310XT, 910XT and the Timex run trainer 1.0 GPS watch....any thoughts?

The Yummy
After my long ride on Saturday I treated myself to my 2 favorite things from Panera.

All day Sunday John was cooking up a storm in the kitchen. We wanted to make food for his sister since she just had the baby and also has a 4 year old (she's gonna have her hands full!). He made a ton of super yummy (and healthy) recipes, the majority of which were vegan from Scott Jurek's Book Eat & Run. I wish I had taken photos of all of it, it was seriously fabulous and I couldn't even tell that most of them were Vegan!

My contribution was definitely NOT vegan, but it was what his sister wanted: my homemade baked raspberry cheesecake....I love making it, super yummy!

5 Things about the month of June
1. 413 miles between running/biking/swimming! Should actually be a little more but I am really happy with this. I've been consistently training smarter and that has made me able to do more.

2. I tackled my first triathlon this month, and feel really good about that!

3. Although I definitely had my days where it was a struggle to get out the door, I feel like my confidence and motivation is getting back to where I want and NEED it to be.

4. Favorite fitness related moment of the month: there are a few that stick out, but honestly I think it was 2 weeks ago I had a really good long swim where things just "clicked" and it seriously just gave me a big confidence booster.

5. Least favorite fitness related moment of the month: my 40 mile ride where I had a million meltdowns and just mentally felt down and defeated (this made this past weekends 60 miler that much sweeter though).

Good, Bad & Yummy 6/21-6/23

Another weekend come and gone like the wind.

I'll be honest, this weekend wasn't fabulous BUT it ended better than it started so I will take it. General frustrations and emotions got the best of me a few times, which just made everything else seem that much harder. No point in sugar coating it all, but like I said....I snapped out of it and ended the weekend on a much better note.

Friday: Work, Lunch with Mom, more work, and errands. 4 mile run fueled by frustration.
Saturday: Airport 5k, 40 mile ride, dinner with John's family.
Sunday: out the door by 4:30 AM to head to 'Cuse to cheer at Ironman 70.3 Syracuse, time with John relaxing when I got home

The Good
*Great to see my mom for lunch on Friday, much needed!

*Did well at the Airport 5k, closer to my PR! Recap later this week.

*I got a 40 mile ride in, super hot but I did it.
(Also tested out my new +Saucony tri-top and it was perfect fit and comfy!)
*On said 40 mile ride, it was my first time clipping in~ no falls(yet).

*I got LUCKY and didn't lose anything out of my bike pack...after realizing around mile 14 that I had left it open....with my car key, money, license, spare tube, and bike tools.

*Dinner and quality time with John's family was a lot of fun Saturday night. Good food, good company and good conversations :)

*Cheering at IM 70.3 Cuse was serious inspiration/motivation boost (more on this tomorrow)

*Got to spend the day with good friends yesterday who I don't see often. Was spend the day with Debbie while her hubby, and our other friends were racing.

*Yesterday was 41 years since Title IX was passed. As some who benefited from this as a HS and college athlete, this makes me happy to see women's sports getting more recognition!

*We bought a juicer! I'm excited to have one in the house now so I can do it more often!

The Bad
*My emotions and frustrations got the best of me this weekend...multiple times. I felt like a toddler having meltdowns.

*Almost got taken out by a construction truck on my ride Saturday (extremely close), this triggered one of the above meltdowns: It wasn't pretty.

*This heat has been brutal, dehydration, exhaustion and sunburn are all in effect.

*I think my Garmin Forerunner 405 is on it's last leg. The strap is partially broken, and it barely holds a charge anymore :(

The Yummy
*Friday night I roasted a TON of veggies for the weekend.

*Friday night treat for myself? Adult version of cookies and milk.

*I wish I had taken a photo of Saturday's meal with John's family: BBQ Chicken, shrimp, pasta salad, salad, quinoa, with chocolate covered strawberries and Wegmans Ultimate Chocolate Cake for dessert!

*Extreme heat called for ice cream this weekend: multiple times.

*Our first batch of juice from our new juicer was a success, yummy and healthy!

What did you do this weekend?

When was the last time you really let your emotions get the best of you? (We all do it, that is life!)

Do you have a juicer? Any recipes I MUST try?

Good, Bad, Yummy 6/7-6/9

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Friday:
Work, errands, run & pack :)
Saturday:
Left John's parents house at 5:30 AM to head to PA for John's cousins college graduation party. Stayed at his families house down in Yardley, PA for the night.
Sunday:
Brunch with the family, headed back to NY, workout and unpack/pack!

Good
Friday first double digit run since the marathon--in the rain...love.

10 miles @ 7:47 pace in the rain :)
Was able to spend the entire weekend with John and his family, something that doesn't happen very often. Also got to meet some family members I had not yet met, which was really fun!

John's sister did NOT go into labor on the road. She is due in 2 weeks, so this was a serious concern!

I actually have had serious motivation the last 2 weeks, where it was the first 5 months of the year, I have NO idea, either way it is here now and hopefully to stay for a while!

I read 2 running books this weekend--reviews coming soon!

Saturday night John and I took a little walk along the Delaware Canal-- beautiful area, great way to end the evening with him... And it was my "workout" for the day....besides being in the pool with his 4 year old nephew and chasing him around all day :)

Despite going away this weekend, which meant a lot more eating (it happens on vacations, we all know it)... I was still under my calorie goal for the week. Those extra little workouts or even the walk Saturday night paid off!

Solid workouts last night: 5 miles on the canal path (back home) and an hour spin followed by play time in the gym!
5 easy miles on the Erie canal path in the sun-- back sweat means your doing it right? right? Haha.
An hour spin sesh- with my kindle reading about running...runNERD I know.
After spinning- the TRX/Crossfit style room at the JCC was empty so I played around for 15 minutes doing a bunch of random exercises...fun way to get some strength training in
Bad
12 hours out of 48 hours in a car is no bueno - especially when you forget to bring compression gear!

I've never had issues getting nauseous while reading in the car, I think I might be growing into it though I was not feeling great on the ride home today, BOO.

The eczema on my hands is still pretty painful, and annoying-- the Prednisone makes me feel fuzzy but seems to help a little. The prescription topical cream is really greasy...I'm actually having better luck with the cream I got at drug store (it has moisturizers in it!).

Yummy
Oh dear where to begin. John's cousins graduation luncheon was at a fantastic little restaurant on the Delaware River. Everything was really fresh and yummy. The only thing I didn't get a photo of were the appetizers (antipasto trays, and bruschetta), and the desserts (we inhaled them way too fast, John and his siblings and I ordered one of each and shared them all!)

Saturday night was wine and munchies at his aunt & uncles house, wonderful way to wind down after fun afternoon in the pool with John's nephew! Wine, cheese, mini sandwiches..yummy!

This is going to sound really random, but after last nights workouts I was craving a BIG bowl of pasta. So that's what I made for dinner... plain pasta, it was easy and fabulous and just what I wanted! (Oh.My.GoSh.SHE.EATS.CARBS!)

Questions:

Can anyone think of a way I can be allowed to take protein powder on the plane when I leave tomorrow for work? I buy it in bulk and clearly cant bring the whole thing, and I am not checking a bag. And I don't want to just put it in a baggie and have them think I am a REALLY bad drug smuggler.

What did you do this weekend? Anything fun?

Good, Bad, Yummy 5/1-5/2

Why is it that Monday always comes so soon?

This weekend was definitely a mix of good, bad and yummy. Since I haven't done one of those posts in a while, no time like the present.

The Good
Saturday morning had a nice easy run with Jen, great to catch up on each others lives, talk about training, and get some miles in. All-around win.

Drove to Keuka Lake for packet pickup Saturday. It was really sentimental being over there, because that is where John and I will be getting married next year. Then headed to Seneca Lake to stay at his parents house for the night.

Finding out my friend Hollie won a half marathon over the weekend, getting to break the tape and have a bike escort....never ceases to amaze me.

Sunday morning, I FINISHED MY FIRST TRIATHLON...with a smile on my face:) I promise I will do a recap, but I want to take a few days to really let it all sink in.

My nephew turned 2 months old yesterday! :)

The Bad
On the car ride to Keuka Saturday I noticed little bumps all over the palms of my hands and on my fingers.....It still hasn't gone away even after a weekend of taking Benadryl and putting Cortisone cream on them as suggested by MD. Looks like I'll be calling my dermatologist today. From what I gather it's some form of eczema, or a possible allergic reaction. It isn't contagious or anything, but it's itchy and my hands feel like leather. BOO.

We had a little health scare from a family member this weekend, luckily everything is okay and she was released with a clean bill of health. It definitely made for a Saturday night of being on edge though.

The Yummy
I had Seneca Farms homemade ice cream Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, if you ever make it to Penn Yan, NY make sure you go there...it's amazing.

Last night I went and got FroYo, another fabulous treat. Yes this was a "sweet" weekend, but I'm okay with that sometimes!

How was your weekend?

How did workouts or races go?

Ice cream or FroYo, which do you prefer?

Good, Bad & Yummy 5/10-5/12

I can't believe it's Monday already, weekends are going by way to fast these days. Actually every day is going by way too fast. After a long fun filled weekend, I head into final week of taper for the Cleveland Marathon. Bring on the list making, stressing, eating, emotions, and everything else in between.

Weekend Workouts
Friday
I held the bed down so it wouldn't blow away.
Saturday
5.21 easy miles (8:51 pace)
Sunday
2.72 easy miles (w/u & c/d for race)
5k race (19:48)
30 minute recumbent bike (8.1 miles)

This past weekend was a very good one though, definitely a good way to head into home stretch of taper. Friday was kind of a blah day, ended up working half day and laying in bed on a heating pad useless to the world for the rest of the day(ladies, we've all been there.). Thank goodness for Starbucks, heating pads, and fiance's who take you to get FroYo at 9:30 at night. True story.

Saturday I was excited because Hollie was coming to stay with me for the weekend. Got up early, moseying around doing things (still not feeling the best) while I waited for her. When she got to my house, we got ready and ran together for some nice easy miles.

After the run we had a fun day of adventures: Breakfast at Jines(Because the Lox omelette is to die for)Target (because we wanted to, and everyone needs something at Target), Starbucks (because it was cold out, so we needed hot caffeine), Lilac Festival (because it's the best people watching spot in Rochester right now), High Falls (because I've tried to show Hollie all the sights I can in Rochester every time she visits me), and dinner at TRATA (because a tall cold Guinness and yummy food, and even better Guinness cake is the best pre-5k race meal you can eat).

Shenanagins at Lilac Festival with Hollie

Me, Heather & Hollie Post-race
Sunday was another fun filled day.Hollie and I got up early and ran the BCCR Pink Ribbon Run 5k, Heather met us there too which was great to finally meet her in person! I'll do a recap of the race tomorrow :) After the race Hollie, Heather and I went to Starbucks to chat and unwind.

Sunday afternoon was spent stretching, relaxing and laying on the heating pad for a while. Then it was time for Les Mis, something I have been waiting a long time to see! I got to enjoy the show with John, his brother and his girlfriend, our friend and her son, and John's sister and her man. Wonderful way to spend a Sunday night.

Here's an Oldie but Goodie for you...Happy Mother's day Mama :)
I'll always be your baby :)
[ 1990 maybe?]

The Good
At least my crappy-female time came this weekend and not next!
I got to spend a lot of QT with Hollie this weekend!
Got to meet and spend time with Heather :)
Fun filled weekend all around.
A Sub-20 5k again, hopefully under 19 this summer.
Les Mis was amazing, and the guy who played Javert was WAY better than Russell Crowe's rendition in the movie version.

The Bad
Being a girl truly sucks sometimes. END.OF.STORY.
Hollie moves to VA beach next weekend. MEGA.BAD.
Instead of 10 planned miles on Sat. I did 5, not feeling great. Hate bailing on runs.
Taper Madness is setting in.
Didn't get to see my mom, or John's for Mother's Day.

The Yummy
Lots of Starbucks all weekend, always Yummy.
Breakfast at Jines- Lox omelette was amazing as always.
Dinner at TRATA:
Heaven in a glass. AKA Guinness.
Duck Quesadilla --Chocolate Guinness cake

Afternoon Sandwich Sunday
Wegmans hand made cheese bread, TJ's lowfat cheddar cheese, spinach, arugala, and tomatoes.
Bring on taper-eating.

 How was your weekend?

What did you do for Mother's Day?

Good, Bad & Yummy 5/3-5/5

Oh what a "normal" weekend it was.
Okay, well...kind of.

Friday
Work at Office
Ran some errands
Ran 6.8 miles in the heat
Friday evening dinner/drinks with friends.

Saturday
Painted the guest room/my office
Ran 13.5 miles
Dinner/Movie at home

Sunday
Morning run: 5 solo, 11 more with Jen
Ice bath, and lots of foam rolling
Ran some errands
Worked on setting up the guest room/my office
Dinner/relaxing

Onward to the GB&Y.

The Good
*Friday was first 'shirtless' run of the year, bring on the sunny weather

*It was great to have dinner/drinks with friends Friday night.
I've realized the benefit of surrounding yourself with good people
who have your interest at heart and not just their own.
Surround yourself with people who make you better,
not the ones who bring you down.

*36.3 miles run in 3 days, and I feel better today than I did before the weekend.

*The guest room/office is all painted,
just need to move everything in, and decorate!

*13 days until Cleveland Marathon, the wait is finally almost over.
Marathon #5 will be under my belt before you know it.

The Bad
*My arms are sore from painting and moving stuff all weekend.
Short girl problems: ladder isn't tall enough and neither am I....lots of reaching.

*On Saturday nights run I was cut off by a cyclist
and hit my head on a branch and cut my leg.
That man better hope I don't see him again..(he didn't even stop)
You can see the cut that goes all the way across my leg.
It's not deep but it's super sensitive.
I'm being a baby about it, but I don't care.
* I definitely experienced some Post-Long-Run-Blues yesterday. I was very cranky, sore, tired, and just not in the mood for ANYTHING. So I took some time for myself, relaxed a bit, stepped back from things and gave myself time to decompress. I don't normally get it same day as long run, but since I ran longer Saturday night, and then Sunday morning...it hit me sooner.

The Yummy
*Friday night I had my favorite... GUINNESS :)
that definitely gets filed under yummy!

*Saturday lunch
Spinach/Arugala salad with grilled chicken, fresh salsa, and feta cheese.
Yummy, healthy, and fantastic. Trifecta.
 *Sunday Dinner
I see no shame in posting how I refueled after Saturday/Sunday's long runs.
Last night John went and picked up dinner for us.
Fish fry, chilli cheese fries and mac&cheese...
I'm not ashamed of this delicious goodness that's horrible for me.
It's not like I eat it all the time.

This week is going to be a busy one for sure,
but I have great things to look forward to this coming weekend.
So let's just home Monday-Friday goes by fast!!!

How was your weekend?

What's your favorite 'unhealthy' or 'healthy'
way to refuel after a long run?

Good, Bad, Yummy 4/19-4/21

This weekend was...INSANE.
It was a great weekend, but the entire thing was on a strict time schedule
which didn't leave much room for error (no room for error in some cases).
And the only way to describe how I feel today, TIRED.

Friday:
Worked all day
Errands/packing for the weekend
Played a Game all night with J's friends for one friends Birthday

Saturday:
10 mile Run with Hollie & Jen
Wedding Venue tour on Keuka Lake
Seneca 7 Packet pickup/pre-race briefing
Pasta dinner with our relay team/goofing around all night

Sunday:
Seneca 7 Relay (Full recap of this to come tomorrow)

The Good
*Not working Friday night was a nice breath of fresh air.

*I actually got to relax Friday night and have a beer.

*They caught that monster of a terrorist. In a boat. (The jokes are endless.)

*Friday night I was sent this picture of my nephew in my mom's glasses. Priceless.

*Running with Hollie and Jen was great, nothing like running with 2 women who are insanely talented but the most down to earth people to spend time with...I wish we could run together more often.

*The Wedding Venue John and I toured Saturday was...amazing. I think we found a winner!

*Saturday night pasta dinner with out relay team was great. I knew all but 2 on the team, and by the end of the weekend I felt like I knew everyone for years.

*Having an adorable nephew makes for great pre-race texts.
I got this text Sunday morning as a "good luck picture" of my Nephew from my sister.
*Seneca 7 falls under good category simply because I don't have an amazing category (I might have to make one). The race was one of the most fun things I have done in a long time, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to spend all weekend in close quarters with. We had a VERY fast team, which was incredibly inspirational...it took 7 runners (and 1 amazing chauffeur) 8 hours and 32 minutes to run 77.7 miles (6:34 average pace). 6th place out of 208 teams, BAM! I will write much more about all this tomorrow in a full recap, there is too much I don't want to leave out!

The Bad
*I didn't get my run in as planned Friday afternoon, but I'm okay with it. But since it is a missed workout, we will file that under bad.
*The game we played Friday night for J's friends Birthday was... LONG. Let's just say it took 5+ hours and could have gone longer. It was fun but...yeah.

*It snowed/hailed Saturday morning, who made Mother Nature mad?

*There were a few times yesterday things got stressful (we were going so fast, there were times it got difficult to get from checkpoint to checkpoint), it meant some sacrificing. We worked great as a team though which made us successful, but there were definitely some things on the course that made it hard! Stretching, warm-up/cool-down and proper fueling became challenging as the race went on and legs got closer together.

*My hamstring has a giant knot in it, that decided to show up halfway through the day yesterday (running fast, and multiple times and cramming in a van between probably didn't help)

*My stomach is NOT happy with me from this weekend (mainly yesterday), it was so confused as to what was going on. (run, ride in car, eat, cheer, repeat 3 times)

The Yummy
*Friday had some seriously yummy food bar stuff from Wegmans for dinner.

*Double chocolate stout while playing the game Friday night...AMAZING.

*Sunday's relay was fueled by Bananas, brownies, cookies, and cheeseballs. It was amazing
For the record we had lots of healthy things too...but I will say, I DID eat 5 cheeseballs right before running a sub 20 5k on my second leg.
1lb. GONE after 77.7 miles and 7 runners.

The Good, The Bad & The Yummy

I've been pretty consistent about posting on Monday's about the weekend happenings, and finally came up with my title for it "The Good, The Bad & The Yummy". This way I am highlighting the weekend and it helps me categorize and process things, after all this blog is my outlet of things in my head and going on in my life. I'm going to come up with a logo for the GB&Y, gimme a little time.

The Good:
Friday: 16 mile bike ride on my new wheels. I am getting more comfortable on the bike, and getting used to switching the gears and such. I'm still a newbie with my road biking, but I'm getting there. It was a sunny spring day I couldn't resist getting outside (although I had to bundle up, it was still chilly!)

Saturday:  Got to spend the afternoon/evening with good friends. Our friends from Vermont were in NY for the weekend to celebrate their daughters 2nd birthday:) Can't beat kids birthday parties, and getting to see friends from out of state!

Sunday:
20-mile run with Hollie. There are so many good things about this, hard to name them all. Let's just start with how grateful I am that she came out to run with me for 20 miles and keep me company. This was her first 20 miler (at once), and she isn't even training for anything longer than a half. Basically, she's awesome.

We had a great time talking the whole run, catching up on our lives, gossiping, making fun of things we saw along the way. Afterwards we continued our post-run tradition of getting food and coffee. Hit up Magnolias for some coffee and eats and more chatting. Also, what would a trip to Rochester for her be without Wegmans and Starbucks? Seriously. I love having these 2 things so easily accessible for me.

Sunday night, I FINALLY got to see 'Wicked' the musical. I have been so excited for this since John told me we were going a few months ago. The show was wonderful, sets were immaculate and the effects were over the top. I knew a little about the story line before the show, but not everything.  For those of you who aren't familiar, Wicked follows the story of the Elpheba the 'Wicked Witch' who grew up being friends with Glenda the 'Good Witch'. They went to school together, were friends and the story follows how Elpheba was really just 'misunderstood' and not evil. I loved the show, the story line and the twist ending. It takes place before/during/after "The Wizard of Oz" so you see some tie-in plot points (who the scarecrow, and tin man really are, and why the cowardly lion is a coward, who the witch under the house with the shoes is...etc). The cast was great, those girls had some pipes on them, which makes me ridiculously jealous because my singing abilities extend to shower singing, car singing, and happy birthday singing.

The Bad:
My car... is acting up....again....After spending over 500 on it last week, it's doing the exact same thing. The mechanic is going to be very sorry for having to deal with me again.

Syracuse lost Saturday night to Michigan. I was seriously bumming about this, there were a lot of things that contributed to the loss. 1st of all, we missed so many easy shots, which was frustrating as all hell. 2nd, The 2-3 zone wasn't affecting Michigan because they were getting to the other end of the court faster than we could be prepared for it. Last, I will say that there were a few bad foul calls that really put us under (I think the Michigan boys took some acting classes on how to make a fall look real when it's not, and how to act like a baby when they get love tapped). So the win goes to Michigan for the game, and so does the Award for Best Team Acting/Drama Queens.

My P.I.T.A....After yesterdays 20, I really do have a pain in my rear that wont go away. It's on the left side and affects my glute and hamstring, hopefully some more stretching and icy hot patches will help. I wore 3 icy-hot patches under my dress to the show last night (One of those moments, you know you're a runner), I kept walking around asking 'is my patch showing', not my finest moment.

Wind has been ridiculous lately...I won't complain about the temperatures as they have been getting better. Although I am ready for consistently warmer temps, I'll leave that be for right now. But the wind, oh dear me that damn wind. I'm tired of feeling like saying "were not in Kansas anymore toto".

The Yummy:
Friday: I made the man and I some Tilapia for dinner. I love it for many reasons, it's cheap, easy, and healthy. I am pretty sure we call that a trifecta. Seasoned Tilapia with spices and Wegmans basting Oil. Paired it with Trader Joe's seasoned roasted corn, baked both together and topped off with fresh salsa. Served it over gluten-free pasta to add some carb's. It was a last minute throw together meal and I was happy with how it came out. I don't cook nearly as much as I'd like, but I was proud of this. Although I do need to work on my presentation, it needed a little green or something. (If you want the recipe and what I seasoned it with let me know! It had a wonderful Southwestern taste to it)

Saturday: I ate chicken nuggets and tater tots at our friends daughters party, and it was fantastic. I'm not even going to pretend to feel bad about this.

Sunday: When Hollie and I went to lunch at Magnolias, I got the usual post-run coffee and water to drink. At first I was bummed we missed breakfast, but I was ridiculously happy with what I ended up getting. Started with a spinach and roasted red pepper soup, let me tell you...it was amazing. Then I got a wrap (built my own): Spinach wrap stuffed with prosciutto  spinach, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and goat cheese. It was so good, I only ate half at the restaurant and ate the other half later before we went to the show, and it was just as good later as it was the first time. I don't want to leave out my Starbucks, because I did something I only do on occasion....a Quad-shot mocha. Yes...4 espresso shots in a drink, I had to make sure I would stay awake all afternoon and night for the show.

This is what it takes to keep me going these days....

Overall it was a decent weekend, busy  but good none the less. Hoping to get more training time in this week, I think it's safe to say my motivation and mojo are coming back after they took a vacation without me. Excited to get into more runs this week, hopefully some outdoor ride time on my Felt, and some quality time in the pool as well. Life's a little crazy at the moment and will be for a while, but it will so be worth it when it's done! (Lots of good things happening at work!)
